Xfinity WiFi Motion

Xfinity WiFi Motion is a motion detection feature available to Xfinity Internet customers who lease an Advanced Xfinity Gateway (XB7 model or later). The system uses the gateway paired with up to three stationary WiFi-connected devices to create coverage zones that detect movement between the gateway and connected devices. When motion is detected in a coverage zone, users receive push notifications on their smartphone. The feature is included at no extra cost for customers with compatible gateways and requires at least one stationary WiFi-connected device to function.
